Coach your club on FencingVault

You can't be at every tournament — but you can review every bout. This guide gets your club set up: claim and verify your club, connect your fencers, and start delivering coaching that follows them to the strip.

The big picture

How coaching works on FencingVault

Your club members upload their competition bouts to their Cloud Vault and share them with you. You watch on your own time, leave notes tied to specific bouts, and that feedback follows the fencer all the way to their next match.

🎞️

Every bout, in one place

Members tag and upload their competition footage to the club vault — organized, searchable, and ready to review. No chasing down phone recordings after practice.

📝

Notes that compound

Leave written coaching notes on specific bouts. They reinforce what you covered on the strip — and feed the fencer's AI pre-bout game plan when they face that opponent again.

🔔

Know who competed

Get notified when club members share new videos from their last bout so you walk into the next session already knowing what to review or focus on.

Getting around

The bottom tab bar

Five tabs run along the bottom of the screen. As a club coach you'll spend most of your time in Coaching — it's where your club's bouts live.

Setting up your club

From sign-up to your first coaching note

A one-time setup connects you to your club and your fencers. After that, coaching is just watching bouts and leaving notes.

1

Get a Club Coach membership

Coaching features require the Club Coach plan. Sign up and subscribe — this unlocks your club vault, coaching notes, and the ability to be verified as your club's coach.

2

Select your club in Settings

Open Settings and choose your club / team. Becoming the coach for a club requires both a Club Coach membership and verification — which kicks off in the next step.

3

Verify club ownership

Once your membership is processed, FencingVault will verify club ownership. Watch your club's email for verification instructions. Until it's confirmed, your status shows Pending — after that you're a verified coach for the club. Additional accounts can be added as additional club coaches.

4

Have your fencers grant you access

Coaches can't see anything by default. Each club member opens their Settings → Coaches, finds your name, and flips you to Can See. From then on, the bouts they upload to their Cloud Vault appear in your club vault.

Tip: make sure your fencers have set their club to yours — that's how they find you in the coaches list.

5

Review bouts & leave coaching notes

In the 🏆 Coaching tab, see if any members have requested coaching on a video they shared. You can also provide comments on any video in the Club Vault. Your notes reinforce the lesson, can be viewed at any time by the fencer, and get incorporated into any AI Quick Prep the fencer uses to game plan the next time they meet that opponent.

Access & privacy

What you can — and can't — see

Fencers stay in control of their footage. Here's exactly where you stand as a coach.

The payoff: the fencers who improve fastest stay engaged between sessions. Notes don't go in one ear and out the other and are available anytime to the fencer forever, and also reinforced in AI Quick Prep. Another avenue of engagement and instruction when you can't get to every fencer as often as you want to.

Ready to coach your club

Verify your club, get your fencers connected, and start reviewing bouts from anywhere.
